Spencer, Hotchkiss & Co., Salem Bridge, Conn., 8 day, time and strike weight brass Salem Bridge movement half column & splat shelf clock, c1830
CONDITION:
Mahogany veneered case in original finish with minor repair needed to the cross strip. Key escutcheon is missing. Original stenciling on the columns and splat. Original painted dial with a slight amount of wear near 6:30. Hands are original except for the seconds hand, that looks to be a replacement. Mirror tablet is a replacement. Nice set of pineapple finials. Partial label inside the case, but enough remains to determine the maker. Sliding dust cover behind the splat is missing. Ht 30"
